Marble pieces were introduced to me by Bill Buckingham. I have found the “play” of that material fascinating and organic, taking me back to the feel of ancient Mosaics. Since childhood I have been a rock hound, especially at the beaches of the Pacific Northwest. It was a family ritual to spend hours looking for’ the agate’ that ‘might be’ among the many beach stones. What fun it is to place stones from the beaches I have walked into my mosaics (Turquoise Water Woman), along with traditional materials. |
