Guardians of Horseshoe Canyon by Bill Buckingham 18" x 24" Marble and sandstone pebbles from Utah | | I've been fascinated with petroglyph art. This is a recreation of a petroglyphs in Utah that are thought to be 8 to 10 thousand years old. Marble was the perfect material to use. It gives the piece the color and texture of the sandstone on which the original petroglyphs are drawn. I picked up the sandstone pebbles on a trip to Utah long before I though about doing this piece. They were a perfect addition to provide an element of contrast in the corner and to include something of personal significance. | Copyright © by Bill Buckingham. All rights reserved. |
